Paula Schultz

Carrie S. Vergin, CSW

Carrie is the Coordinator for Marathon County Restorative Justice Programs.  She grew up in Rothschild, WI and is a graduate of D.C. Everest High School.  She served in the U.S. Air Force from 1980 through 1986 as a medical laboratory technologist.  She met and married her husband, Everest Metro Police Chief Daniel Vergin in 1990.  They have two boys of their own (both are recent high school graduates) and have provided foster care to several children in Marathon County.   Due to her interest in social services, Carrie went back to college in 2002 and graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services from Upper Iowa University.  She also gained her certification as a social worker.  Since her graduation, Carrie has been working in the Restorative Justice Field and soon will be completing her Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from UW Platteville.  The program in Marathon County has been under her direction since 2005 and services have been provided to victims of juvenile crime and their offenders.

Paula is a Facilitator for Marathon County Restorative Justice Programs.  She grew up in the Wausau area and graduated from Wausau West High School.  Paula was previously employed in the Human Resources Department of Fiskars.  Due to the elimination of most of Fiskars' production in Wausau however, Paula returned to college.  She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Human Services from Upper Iowa University and her certification in social work.  Paula also has a  son who is attending college.  Paula enjoys summer activities and has a great love for animals.

Nick Stetzer

 

Nick is a Facilitator for Marathon County Restorative Justice Programs. He grew up in the Wausau area and graduated from Wausau East High School. Nick comes from a criminal justice background and has worked for the Wausau Police Department and the University Police at UW Oshkosh. While working with the University Police, he developed a restorative justice program for the college. Nick will be graduating from UW Oshkosh after the Fall 2011 term, with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. Nick enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and hiking.
